Growing up in Los Angeles, California, I’ve always been fascinated by the city’s diversity. Inspired by the endless varieties of unique looking faces gathered here from all over the world. Curious about the stories faithfully etched into their features. Stories of the past. Their cultures, their families, their ancestors. Stories of the present. Their hopes, their dreams, and journeys.
This eventually led to an interest in personal styles, and all the ways people use fashion to express themselves, their beliefs, values, and associations.
Initially, I decided to pursue a career in the fashion industry , and enrolled in FIDM as a Fashion Design major. After almost 2 years of juggling school work, my job, and my real life, I was forced to drop out, and consider other options. I tried my best, with mixed results.
But what I DID rediscover during this stage of my life was an old love for photography. As a little girl, it was the fun of taking pictures on disposable cameras, then the excitement of waiting to get the film developed. As a young adult, it was the absolute THRILL of being able to take pictures and see them instantly! So much inspiration!
For fun, I started off assisting on photoshoots for friends, and then eventually invested in purchasing my very first camera around 2007. Soon after, requests for portraits and headshots , led to satisfied clients and referrals, and I was even published for the first time later that same year! Now, about fifteen years and dozens of satisfied clients later, I’m blessed to have been published several more times, including a feature in the Los Angeles Tribune as recently as August of 2021.
I absolutely love and enjoy what I do, and my staff and I do everything we can to ensure that my photoshoots and sessions are comfortable and light-hearted environments, with as much laughter and music as possible! My photographs are meant to best capture and highlight the energy that makes each client, each person, each story, unique!
My all time favorite reaction is, “Wow! Is that ME?!” when a client sees themselves in a different light for the first time. Never gets old!
Outside of Photography, I also work as a Licensed Insurance Agent, and Financial Literacy Coach, providing useful information as well practical opportunities for working class people to make, save, and invest money to achieve more financial freedom for their families.
